A COLLABORATIVE MENTAL HEALTH PRACTICE
Paige McCoy
LIMHP
I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health professional and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I graduated with my Master or Arts in Counseling Degree from Doane University and received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Wayne State College. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, and adults who may be impacted by symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, perinatal mental health concerns, and substance use. My goal is to help empower my clients to feel confident in being able to utilize healthy coping skills for their current life stressors and mental health symptoms.
The main treatment modalities I utilize are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I will use other treatment modalities as needed as I know every person is different and certain forms of therapy may be more beneficial for them than others. I also enjoy utilizing aspects of play therapy and art therapy techniques within sessions as well. I am open to feedback from clients on ways they learn best and ways that will help them open up and feel more comfortable in session. I have completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
I would love the opportunity to collaborate with you as you start your own journey of self-reflection and growth. I cannot wait to meet you, and/or your family, and to start working with you!
